It's a great role-playing game, but you must build your character accordingly to notice. New Vegas is definitely closer to Fallout 2, compared to Fallout 3 or 4. It'll teach you the old character system and introduces you to the basics of how to thrive in the isometric fallout games.įO2 is more like the modern fallout games in tone, but hard to compare to New Vegas. It's fairly straight forward and lacks much of the humor/weirdness you see in modern fallout. FO1 is a very serious post apocalyptic game compared to almost every other fallout game. The user interface will probably be a pain initially, but it's fairly simple, easy to get used to, and only gets better in the newer games.
